Head Gasket

Bought another DSM 92 Talon. Had a burnt exhaust valve, that's off to Mr. Gosh gettin rebuilt. I will be installing ARP's and a new head gasket. What I want to know is has anyone had luck with installing a multi-layer without resurfacing the block? I have the felt gasket in front of me but I don't want to take the thing back apart for awhile and plan on running higher boost. I tryed searching and turned up nothing ( Damn A.D.D)

I run a stock composite head gasket. They seem to be fine into the mid 30's. It is also a nice little fuse. You will blow the head gasket before blowing the engine up, hopefully. Add a harder to blow HG and your tuning better be good or you will blow the hard parts.

Well, I have the house now and things are good. This time I'm acctualy going to drive it.

As far as the head gasket I'm going with the stocker.

Thanks

MLS gaskets require a different block and head finish compared to stockers, the stockers allows for a more commonly machined/rougher surface RA value.

Just use the stocker like you said, its good for ALOT of boost.

Factory gasket+arp's > stock rods
