Charging question
 

Hey everyone, i just got a winter beater its a 1993 mitsu galant sohc.

i am in the process of finding out why the headlights are so dim, my guess is that the free hanging yellow wire off of the alternator wireing harness has somthing to do with it.
Anyways does anyone know what this wire connects to? the wire is severed and i can not tell where it connects to.

i looked at the wireing harness on alldata and came up with nothing because it only has three wires in the diagram: (no connector) chargeback, (coonnertor pin 1/2) field coil and one (connector pin 2/2) for somthing else? (total 4 wires)

does anyone have one of these cars so i can compare?
