BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
HTA GT35R to be specific!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=cpf3fYGkFdo This thing is making freaking ~640whp on buschur's low-reading mustang dyno, and while I bet he doesn't drive it as much as I drive my DD, he calls it his DD. |
Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
Sweet! That thing moves

Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
Fucking WOW!! I may have to get an HTA next year!
|
Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
Rumor has it FP is working on an HTA "37R" aka T67....that'd be the ticket for you JET! You'd eclipse 500whp with ease and probably keep a similar powerband..... Yowsers!

Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
I'd be all over that! I was going to go 4088R, but we will see what happens.

Not bad.

Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
I'm completey in the dark about these turbos. I'm going to read up about them when I have some time, but anyone know what's so different about them?

Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
Nice vid. I like how he's really proud of how it's mostly stock, but does that trunk stay open by itself? I bet there's some lightening elsewhere that he didn't show.

Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
Nothing against Dave or his impressive numbers, but I never understood why it's such a badge of honor to claim "full weight" or "no weight reduction". I look at reducing weight as just another mod. Less weight = less stress on the engine and the rest of the drivetrain. If you can tolerate driving around in a tin can go for it. Same thing goes for race gas. If your wallet can tolerate $10/gal. race fuel, great! I could really care less what you're burning.

Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
There are links to a dyno sheet in the other thread Scheides is talking about. The HTA seems to be a Borgwarner style compressor wheel, from what I get out of it. It sounds like FP designed the wheel and someone makes it for them. It uses extended tips and seems like it may flow a bit more up top too. It doesn't seem to be down on power anywhere compared to the stock wheel.

Re: BR goes 9.6@151 on 35R
Yeah, that's old school right there! I remember studying the HKS upgrade path over and over again. It was pretty much all we had back then. HKS and Archer was about it.
