injector issue

ok so i think this would be electrical but i dont know, once the car warms up the injectors stop firing all the way. i just tried some other injectors and does the same thing. i've put diff. inj control boxes in and have had the same results i'm running link w/ a gm maft and am at the wits end of this thing

What do you mean "not firing all the way"? Does DSMlink have injector pulse in it? That can make it fire for a shorter period of time, they must to compensate for the bigger injectors. Maybe that isn't set right?

basically the car runs fine when its cold and always under wot but once it warms up #4 stops pushing fuel but still clicks and #2 goes to bout half duty but 1 and 3 stay working fine. the car was tuned by lse bout month and a half ago

How exactly have you come to these crazy conclusions? I'm gonna go ahead and say that your injectors are fine, and that you have problems somewhere else

I don't see how this can happen either, especially after it is warm, but not at WOT. I would like to know how you came to the conclusion it isn't putting fuel out either? I don't see how it can't be putting fuel in if it is clicking.

Re: injector issue

i figured this out from an easy thing being taking the injectors off the engine hooking them back up and turning the car over for them to still spray as the car is being cranked. when i did this after the car sat for 3 or so hours the injectors would spray like they should. now if i drove it around and let it start to surge and die and then do the same thing and crank the car only 2 injectors would fire. now i know its not the injectors and is electrical cause i put other injectos in and they did the same thing. the click but no fuel will go through them and ive even hooked up pulse testers to the injector connectors and i see pulse on them but once the car surges the poulse stops and then starts up again

Re: injector issue

The injector driver in the ecu could be bad or a wiring problem from the ecu to the injectors. Problems like this suck for sure.

oK, just because your car is running funny doesn't mean that your injectors "aren't firing all the way". I would suggest looking at o2 sensors, and the such first seeing as it looks like you have an open/closed loop issue. especially if it works fine when it's cold, and at WOT

Re: injector issue

How are the inectors staying in the rail? It would pretty much have to be ECU related. They fire sometimes, so that means the wiring is OK. I would swap in a stock ECU when it is acting up to see if that will do it. If not, you know it is the other ECU or a problem in Link.

Re: injector issue

i zip tied the injectors to the rail to keep them in. but none the less it just seems that lse fucked up the tune. adjusted the global on link and the car runs alot better now. but time will see if it keeps going

I set the global to what the website said, if you want to stop by we can retune your car with the new global setting for free.
