Innovate LC-1 wideband kit
Has anyone ever used this wideband kit? I see most people using the aem uego. Any reason why I shouldn't get this one? $175 is a good price.

Re: Innovate LC-1 wideband kit
^So from what I get from that article is that the Innovative was rated higher than the UEGO but I should possibly include the NGK/NTK as well considering "they are a direct comparison."
So swanny, from that article I would assume you would say that $175 for a brand new unused innovative LC-1 is a good deal considering they are around $300 new. Would you concur? Also, do you really need a gauge with the wideband or can I just monitor my a/f on a laptop? Obviously, I know a gauge wouldn't be a bad thing to have, but just trying to understand this topic a little more. Thanks ^Answered my own question. You can monitor your a/fs on a laptop. I would get a gauge as well, just wondering. |
Re: Innovate LC-1 wideband kit
The LC-1 comes with Logworks software which allows you to monitor and datalog AFR on a laptop.
I have two LC-1's, an XD-16 gauge and an LM-1. Great products. |
Re: Innovate LC-1 wideband kit
We've pretty much dropped the innovative line, they take out to many 02 sensors. I will re-evaluate that decision come spring, but I got tired of replacing o2 sensors early as well as having customer do the same.

Re: Innovate LC-1 wideband kit
Innovate uses the cheaper and less hardy Bosch sensor. They won't take nearly as much exposure to lead before failing than the NTK sensor will.

Re: Innovate LC-1 wideband kit
I like the LM-1 better than the LC-1. The LC-1s had a lot failures early on and it is hard to tell if it is working or what is going on with no screen. At least with the LM-1 you know you had a bad sensor, unlike a lot of units that appear to contine working but give out wrong A/F readings. I wish the NGK AFX unit had the programmability of the Innovate units.

Re: Innovate LC-1 wideband kit
^Well I've got dsmlink so really all I wanna know are my a/fs. Dsmlink's a/f readings aren't very accurate from what I read.
