Re: Maybe that was using a little too much gas...
HAHAHA He waited way too long to try and lite it. I did something similar, only with not as much gas. My friend had a 5' square concrete fire pit, and one time we used gas to lite it. We waited a little too long to lite it, and the whole pit was fumes (gas vapor is heavier than air) so it was just a big fireball and I burned off about half my leg hair, and some of my arm hair. I won't do that again! haha

HA HA HA! That was pretty awesome. Reminds me of that video of the kid that hit the cantalope that was on fire and full of gas.

Re: Maybe that was using a little too much gas...
You should have seen our house about 5 years ago, dad put 6 gallons of old gas from boats//lawnmowers into our front yard, which is one huge pit... and i mean HUGE. Lit it with a match and there was burnt grass about 30 feet from the fire pit. Dad had little arm hair, and burnt off most of what was left of his eyebrows and head hair. Dumped the gas, went up to the house for the matches, and went back down. Was a calm day so all the fumes were in our front yard. I should try and find a picture so you get an idea how big of an area it collected in.

Yeah, I've done it. I didn't use that much, but I didn't pay attention to the extremely humid breezeless weather and got thrown back a bit. All the skin came off my nose and I lost a lot of hair.
