My 12" fan just fits on my radiator. I dont think you could even fit a 16"...

I feel like most people like the dual 12" fans over a single 16". Just my 2 cents tho.

No CFM is how much air it pushes.

CFM means cubic feet per minute, it is unit of volumetric flow rate.

Re: group buy on 16" 2400cfm electronic fan

Stock fans have a nice shroud which acts much better at cooling the entire core versus just where the fan sits... like on these, so CFM does not apply.

Re: group buy on 16" 2400cfm electronic fan

shroud: | sh roud| noun
a length of cloth or an enveloping garment in which a dead person is wrapped for burial : he was buried in a linen shroud.

^So what I think your saying is that stock fans are better than slim fans because they have larger angled and overall bigger fans.

And thanks jakey, I follow now.

Re: group buy on 16" 2400cfm electronic fan

CFM does still apply to a stock fan. For a given CFM a stock fan is better though. If the stock CFM is 600 cfm (guessing), it is not going to keep up with a 1200 cfm slim line. Most bigger turbo's require a slim line, that is why most people use them.

Wiki-

Other specific usages of the term "shroud" include: Chimney Shrouds:A metal cover to hide the spark arrester of a fireplace.

Im refering to the cover that covers over the fan so that it sucks air from the entire radiator not just the circular path the fan covers on the radiator.

I'm interested in this. Will it fit on a stock 1g radiator?

jhaan_dude 11-06-2007 06:59 PM

Re: group buy on 16" 2400cfm electronic fan

with a little croping it would fit a 1g, the problem with shroud fans on the stock ones is that they overheat and melt the fan blades, i like to mount them in front to force the air across the radiator, this also makes more room to put front mount piping on and a bigger turbo, it just makes more sense! like i said you can call or email me with your requests and when i get enough i will put in the order, as for fitting it wont be a problem.
