Top 30 failed Technology Predictions

Found this list and I am amazed at how recent some of these statements were made. Amazing how close minded and scared of change people can be.

Can we really expect people to vote for a real change in politics and a focus on technology and innovation to turn this country around? Hopefully looking at history and how wrong the predictions in this list were gives us hope. It's a fun list. Check it out.

A few examples:
15. “The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a novelty - a fad.” — The president of the Michigan Savings Bank advising Henry Ford’s lawyer, Horace Rackham, not to invest in the Ford Motor Co., 1903

2. “We will never make a 32 bit operating system.” — Bill Gates

24. “Home Taping Is Killing Music” — A 1980s campaign by the BPI, claiming that people recording music off the radio onto cassette would destroy the music industry.
