Anything specific that you're looking for?

Halon 02-21-2004 12:39 PM

i know www.diamondstarmotorsport.com has a fmic kit for the gvr4

SquackDiddy 02-21-2004 11:05 PM

intake pipes, i/c pipes, a front mount, downpipe, exhaust. the things that are different from the other dsms.
is the stock gvr-4 engine setup any different from the other dsms? because i havent seen any pics of the engine compartment yet.

SuperSleeper 02-21-2004 11:28 PM

The only differences are the location of the airbox, battery, and intercooler. Airbox wraps around towards the firewall, and the battery is located where the airbox would be in any other DSM. Then the intercooler is mounted slightly inside the grill.
A few GVR-4 owners switch it around due to the larger market of IC/intake pipes, etc. for the 'standard' setup.

i see
so where could i get these parts (intake pipes, i/c pipes, a front mount, downpipe, exhaust)? i think mostly i/c pipes, unless they are the same as the other 1gs?

[QUOTE]don't get one

why not

Super Bleeder!! 02-22-2004 03:34 PM

they are bad

SquackDiddy 02-22-2004 03:39 PM

dont you have one? i cant find any 1g dsm's around here for sale. 2gs cost to damn much. so im kind of desperate if i find any dsm.

Super Bleeder!! 02-22-2004 03:44 PM

yeah i have one, but they take a lot more work to do anything to them speedwise, so i'd say stear clear for a dsm 1st timer. and if you think you can find a gvr4 over a 1g, you must not be looking very hard.

SquackDiddy 02-22-2004 04:09 PM

maybe your right, because im just looking at carsoup and other sites for a 1g and cant find any.

SquackDiddy 02-23-2004 07:18 AM

are the gvr-4 i/c pipes the same as a 1gs?

Super Bleeder!! 02-23-2004 01:38 PM

no, not in the slightest and thats why they are so goddamn expensive. the ic (which is a POS, about half as good as a 1g core) is mounted on the front, not in the fender area like a 1g. so the piping is a lot longer and a lot more convoluted.

AJ 02-23-2004 02:23 PM

Actually there are reports of a 1G FMIC piping kit working on a GVR4. We have one being sent here to test on a GVR4 comming inside soon.
