Sequential gearbox?
Anyone ever attempt at addapting this idea to a dsm? I know there are 1 or two evos running around with this (perhaps 3, right scheides?) but I wonder if it's been done for the dsm, or atleast attempted. I'd like to know what all goes into this type of thing.

Re: Sequential gearbox?
Hks use to make a tranny and shifter for the evo I-III but was around 4k

Re: Sequential gearbox?
Swifty, are you talking a sequential shifter or a true sequential tranny? The shifter has been done, but a tranny would be spendy.
|
Re: Sequential gearbox?
My guess is he is talking shifter.

Re: Sequential gearbox?
A NABR guy just had a sequential shifter for the 1G for sale, and it was about a G if I remember right.

Re: Sequential gearbox?
Got pics? Or, any idea how this works? I know on like f1 cars (paddle) or cart/irl cars (push-pull) they have hydrolics. How did the guy do it? I liked the setup on the norris designs green evo.

Re: Sequential gearbox?
I would check it on NABR, but i am still not on there. (wink wink)
Swifty you get some crazy thoughts in your head about these cars. |
Re: Sequential gearbox?
There have been sequential shifters made for DSMs, but you still had to use the clutch.
|
Re: Sequential gearbox?
Yea, I gathered that from norris' evo, but i'm curious as to how people have adapted it over. Yea, I get crazy thoughts. I'd like to think I can make some of those thoughts work though.
I'm um...banned from NABR too *wink wink* -A. Swift |
Re: Sequential gearbox?
The reviews I have seen haven't been all that great.

Re: Sequential gearbox?
I was thinking about making a hydraulic conversion that would be clutchless for up shifts at least. Never spent the $,$$$ on it though, or made it past the design phase.
