Secruity light
 

I have a 90 TSI AWD and when i lock the door from the passenger side a green light comes on that reads "Security". What is it and why haven't i seen it before?

Mine did that every time I locked it using the door lock buttons. It was just an indicator saying the stock alarm was armed, and on my 2g it turned the light off after 20 seconds I think.

One time I locked my keys in the car and had to break into it, the horn went off for a few minutes before I figured out I had to turn the key in the door to turn it off.

Starquests have that too, lol. The way to cancel the alarm is to turn the key in the trunk, but don't tell anyone.

It should arm from both doors. You just have to hold the key in the locked position for a few seconds.

Mine has that as well. My N/T doesn't have it so it must be an option. My car alarm went off to at night when I found that out. I had the window down and out of habit locked my car. Opened the car from the inside and car alarm went off. I am still thinking of purchasing a better security system however. One with remote door locks at least
