Yeah, from what I hear AEM is pretty hard core shit for the newbie. I would just get DSMlink from the company, buying used you only save like $50 plus I would think transferring ownership would be kinda cumbersome not to mention finding used isnt exactly easy.

you can find them for a decent price if you look around and wait a little while. I got my 1g dsm link from someone for $400 last year. I havn't been looking for them lately so I am not sure how many are available.

I just did it, a simple email to Tom from both of you is all it takes. Make sure you get a picture of the chip and check the registration number with Tom when you send your email. I've heard there's some crude copies going around.

Hmmm, I'll be damned. Whenever I find a used DSMlink its usually link and ECU for like $650-$700 and I thought you needed to send the ECU back in for some reason or another. I stand corrected. :)

Re: wtb dsmlink

^^ The price you are talking about is normal if the eprom ecu is included.

You DO need to have the ecu socketed by someone if it hasnt been already.

You will never find the link and an eprom ecu together for 400 bucks. If you do, BUY IT.
