How much fuel will I need?

Right now I have 650cc injectors with a 190lph fuel pump. However, I think I'm going to convert to e85 either in the next month or maybe next spring. However, I have a couple of questions about how much fuel I'll need for my new turbo.

I'm putting on a Hahn 20g, and I've been reading that people are fine with using 550cc injectors with a 20g. So, I would assume that 750cc injectors would be fine if I switched to e85. If my calculations are correct, then four 750cc injectors could put out 180 liters per hour of fuel at 100%:

(750cc * 4)/1000 = 3 liters per minute = 180 lph

My question is, does that formula actually hold true in reality? And can my 190 fuel pump actually put out 180lph?

Thanks,
Andrew

Did you buy the turbo already? If not, there are a LOT better choices out there. Also, no you will need to upgrade the fuel pump. The pump output is right at the pump and does not include all of the losses from the lines, regulator, etc.

When I bought my 880's I switched to E-85 a few weeks later and needed bigger injectors already. I am running 1600's at 65% duty with an A/F of 11.4 on e85. Do you have link? If so get bigger injectors when you will need so you dont have to buy new after that.

A 190lph will pump out around 190lph at around 40psi. At E85 boost levels, you might be running 65-80psi fuel pressure and it will be lucky to pump out 100lph.

Yea, I got a pretty good deal on it, then I heard afterwards that it's sort of a garbage turbo, and I keep hearing more and more bad things from every single person I talk to.

As for the fuel questions, that pretty much answers everything, I'll probably wait until next year for the e85 switch since it's not as easy as just changing injectors.

Swapping the fuel pump is just as easy as changing injectors, especially if you already have a walbro in there.

Yea I have a walbro now, but won't I need a fuel pressure regulator as well with a 255?

It is hit or miss on a 1g, but I think you will on a 2g. Maybe if you don't rewire it, then you wouldn't. I am sure some 2g guys will chime in on this.

I heard if you do the 255 without rewire its fine. I have a 255 for sale(pm me if interested). I ran a FPR with my 255 tho.

Sorry, I'm a fuel pump n00b. What exactly does re-wiring entail and what does it get me?

Edit: I did some searching/reading and sort of get an idea now. My fuel pump is on 100% of the time when key is in 'on' position so I think this may already have been done. I'll double-check tonight.

Run a bigger power wire from the FP relay back to the pump, or run a wire directly from the battery with a big fuse at the battery and a relay at the pump. Just throw in a 255 and be done with it, 190's are for the rustang guys.
