oil pressure switch

Re: alternator wire-where does this go?
No wonder my oil pressure gauge stoped working. could you give me a hint as to where that is?

Re: alternator wire-where does this go?
Its a "round" metal sensor located on the oil filter housing. Towards the oil pan. There is a little nub that sticks out of the bottom that it slides over.

Re: alternator wire-where does this go?
Yes there should, and it should go to the oil pressure sensor pictured on the left. (Round)

Re: alternator wire-where does this go?
The other one should just be for the idiot light though. Not as crucial.

Re: alternator wire-where does this go?
The large sender under the crank pulley is for the gauge. The small one under the alt. is for the oil pressure light.

Re: alternator wire-where does this go?
Well the idiot light isn't even on. The gauge just doesn't work. I'll just wait for somebody to part their car out and steel the wire from them.

Re: alternator wire-where does this go?
Just make it, short piece of wire with a female lug connector on one end to attach to the sender. The factory ones are usually chewed up and oily anyways.
