i need an mbc thats cheap but works so i can get my car tuned without worrying about this bs one i have on now..

Buy one of these. They work well enough and you could probably even pick it up.

That sucks thats the one ive been using and it works great for me just have to make sure its all tight or it will fall apart on the road

Make sure the spring isn't binding and that the ball is sealing on the tapered seal of the lower fitting.

i think the spring did bind on the other one..
