DSM from Augusta GA

Hello fellow DSMers. My name is David. I drive a 1997 GST Eclipse Spyder, hopefully GSX Spyder in the upcoming year. Anyways from Augusta, Ga. I have owned my DSM for a year this month but it took me 3 years to find one I wanted. I am a mechanic at a shop called Simply Automotive. First boosted car I ever rode in was a FWD Talon 21lbs of boost on a 14b... even though the guy that gave me the ride knew nothing about what he was doing with boost it was enough to make me fall in love.

Anyways enough rambling. Here is some pics of the car.

When I first got her.

You can't see it here but the hood was pushed in on the passengers side pretty bad but I fixed that.

This pic is before I got my FMIC but probably the closest to date of how the engine bay looks.

Car looks good. Very clean engine bay. I've got the same color 2g but mine is a gsx. I really like the all black look for the engine bay and after seeing yours my mind is swayed a little from what I was thinking about. Any updated pics with the ic pipes in? I'm really curious to see how it looks. I was thinking about powdercoating mine black but idk

Not yet but I will take sum tomorrow when I get off of work. I need to take her out to get washed anyways. Just for refrence blk pippin with HKS where the fuse box would be and fuse box relocated off the side of the battery box with the pipping going over it. lol Plus I havent put the "bling bling" heat shield on yet it makes its look 100000 times better.

First off, it's "piping." And I don't really know what your saying. Are you describing your setup? Are you intercooler pipes black?

Re: DSM from Augusta GA

Yea I was describing my setup and the pipes are blk.

Nice car. I've been to Augusta quite a few times. Stayed at the newer Holiday Inn off I-20 and Belair. Kinda dated one of the bartenders at Macaronni Grill there too. I was working down at the Vogtle nuke plant.

Anywho welcome!

Ya, it was about a 45 minute drive to the plant everyday. And that was with me flying down the road that goes all the way to the plant (I forgot the name). I was down there during Masters too.

Some other places we went was the Pizza Shack or something like that, Texas Roadhouse, and tried to go into some Club Velvet but I was 24 and you have to be 25. I don't know if I really like the area though. Some plant made everything reak of sulfer, and I've never had alergies in my life until I went there and the air was 50% pollin.

Re: DSM from Augusta GA

Yea pollin is pretty bad down here. Probably went to pizza joint pretty good eating. The smell u are talking about is on Southside from the paper mill. Masters is fun for tourist sucks for us.

Must have been a while since you have been down here.

Well not that long ago. It was just this last Masters I was down there. I was there for my birthday actually too, on April 3rd. Wasn't really that long ago.
