making an obd2 datacable
 

I found this site for making an obd 2 datacable

it says for audis and vws but isnt all obd2 the same? I thought that was what obd 2 was supposed to be all about. anyone have any input? or know where I can make an obd2 cable that will work on a 98 spyder? I dont want to spend 150 bucks on a cable when I can go to radioshack and build one for under 10.
