Painted the wheels..
 

I finally got my Kosei K1 wheels. 16x 7.5", each weighing in at a heavy 15 lbs. Anyway, yes they are NOT perfect, by ANY means. When I recieved the wheels, they where quite beat-up. I also don't expect the wheels to stay the condition they are in now, but I couldn't afford to PC them right now, as other things are needing funding. So, with about 16 bucks in my hand, this is what I came up with. They get mounted on my stock tires tomorrow, till I can get some tires I want.

They get mounted tomorrow. Still trying to find jackstands so I can paint the calipers Red (I know, ricer..whatever).:beerfunnel2:

Haha you made your gf sand! Adda boy swifty! btw those wheels look pretty good. Don't drive through gravel or any rocks cus they will own your wheels.

yea, I'm afraid of that. I still want them powdercoated, so I figure if they last over the summer, it's good. I'll PC them over the winter, or I'll get other wheels.

Yea I painted my wheels on my last car and they lasted a full summer and then some. How many coats did you do?

2 of color, 2 of clear.

Wow sanding those wheels was sooooo much fun!! And the fumes from all the paint in a closed garage only killed a few brain cells and made me half high. But besides that, it actually was kind of fun, and they look a lot better, especially the ones I did tee hee!

I painted my calipers two years ago with the special ceramic caliper paint or whatever that stuff is. Now they are cracking/flaking and look like shit. I even used a wire brush and brake parts cleaner to get the rust off them beforehand. I'd stay away from the brush on paint, I'm going to powdercoat.

UPDATE: Got them on the vehicle finally. Tires rubbed..quite a bit, actually. Started eating into the rubber, but meh. I swapped suspension, and for ONCE in this car's LIFE, it doesn't ride durty! Anyway, some newer, dirty slut pics to enjoy!
