02 grand cherokee audio
 

Just a quick question does anyone have an 02 grand cherokee and would you be aware if it has stock audio pre-outs on the radio to run to an amp? Its going in the girlfriends car and I dont feel like driving 20 minutes to find out before I install the sub and amp tomorrow. Just wondering if I need to stop by wal-mart tomorrow on the way.

I cant say for sure but it is highly unlikely. You will probably need a line out convertor, I think thats what it is called, to get signal from something like the rear speakers.

Yeah I just bought on of those yesterday for my eclipse. I was hoping here G.C. would have stock rca pre outs cause all of her speakers are in the door.

I ran a wire from the battery to a switch then back to the remote on the amp just for an easy way to kill the subs around cops. I dont want to do that on her jeep cause she'll forget to turn the switch off. What Would I run the remote wire off of on a stock system radio?

I'm not a real audio guru...

No, there's no pre-outs on a stock Jeep radio. You'll need the line converter. Run the remote off anything in the fuse panel that comes on when you turn on the key, most use the radio fuse.
