A very good choice, but Mobil 1 75W-90 can withstand more shock. I am a huge fan of Redline fluids, but this one product of theirs is beat out by Mobil 1. Either way, both are great products.

Link to data to back up this claim?

I usually use the shockproof liteweight or heavyweight in high hp/high load applications.

Redline Heavyduty shockproof in the rear, and the MTL / MT90 mix in the Tcase is what I run.

Its somewhere in the "oil journals" on the S2ki forum, but when I get a chance (if I remember), I'll dig for it.

Awesome, I love to read up on stuff like that.

So far all I've found are viscosity ratings at various temps and the pour points, but I'll continue the search!

In the meantime, there are some great articles here:

I am not sure if you need to be registered to read the threads, but if you are the info contained within is definitely worth the few minutes it takes to sign up. There is info on engine oils, tranny fluids, and gear lubes that pertains to all cars, not just S2000's.

You summer-only and race-only guys should really look into a product called LE-607 (read articles at link above to learn why), all the testing shows its a better choice than the Redline Shockproof stuff for both the street and track. Redline techs recommend against using the Shockproof in street cars due to odd viscosity behavior at low(er) temps.
