VEISHEA at Iowa State
 

VEISHEA is the largest student-run festival in the US. It's basically a weeklong showcase of Iowa State. I figured that the part you all would be specifically interested in is the big-name free concerts Friday and Saturday night:

If anything, it's the perfect chance to get f'ing hammered and enjoy free concerts, which is exactly what I will be doing.

I saw a copy of the budget that the the planning committee has to work with; these bands are not being paid chump-change.

I been to one before and them bands are nice. I went to the U of M Mankato's once were they had Live there. Now that was fun.

I am driving down sometime on Friday for this, its always a crazy weekend. I missed it last year, I wonder if it's changed now that they brought it back.

I walked on to campus Saturday night of last year's celebration, absolutely hammered with beer in my hand, and the cops had me dump it out and to have a good night.

Well the concerts were last night/this morning and I have to say I was not all that impressed. I missed the Story of year concert cus I'm an idiot. The Chris Cagel concert was pretty cool even though I'm not really into country. I tried to climb a little tree and some doosh bag pushed me out of it and my drunken ass fell to the ground haha. I was most excited about the mike jones concert cus I really like rap, but I have to say I'm really disappointed. He was 45 minutes late and then the concert only lasted about 30 mins tops. He say songs that he didn't even write. Anyways, after the concert these 3 chicks got in a crazy fight and they were landing face hits left and right. Overall, after much booze and partying the night was good :)
