i need some help, does anyone know what is the biggest size tire you can fit on a stock 1g rims without any interference with rubbing and clearance?...thanks.

Yeah. It bulges out quite a bit but works alright on the street, it also rubbed a bit on my passenger side inner fenderwell. Any wider than that and you'll have no sidewall. Factory rims are only 6.5" wide.

Yeah, 225/50's will fit, but your handling will be worse. The stock 205's are actually a bit wide for the stock wheels. I liked 205's better than 225's on the stockers. Get some wider wheels with the wider tires.

225's look ridiculous on DSM 16" wheels, 205's already have too much buldge.

lol...ive seen a 1g talon up here rockin some 225's on stockers.. it looks like a fat persons belly hangin over their pants.:drive1:

i'd like to put 215/50's on. but 225's arent bad...looks more aggressive

the stock 17s could nicely go 225, 215 on the stock ones though

yeah the stock 17 gsx rims are cheap and easy to find, cuase most ppl with 2g gsx go out and buy aftermarket rims right away ne way.
