How much boost do you plan on running?

Re: wastegate question...

Yeah, that is huge for a 20g. Why not just get a mitsu flanged 20g and bolt it right up?

80mm wastegate ftw?

Yeah, the 44mm might be a bit overkill

Re: wastegate question...

Ok, so what do you guys recommend 38mm, 40mm I got the 20g from my cuzin and he had it flanged for t3 and he sold it to me for 75 bucks so I couldnt refuse that offer.

Re: wastegate question...

I'd just use a Tial 38mm. It'd work perfect for you. But if you already have the 44mm, and it fits fine, then I don't see why couldn't just run it as long as the spring in it isn't for a higher pressure then you plan on running.

What is defined as a little big?

I don't recall ever seeing a discussion on this board about external wastegate sizing so this could turn into an excellent discussion.

Or it could turn into something like the multiple intercooler threads we have.... :scared:

Correct. If the extra $ for a 44 doesn't bother you, then it will work perfectly.

Re: wastegate question...

too big is better than too small, and latter if you get a rediculus turbo you wont have to get another wastgate, just a new spring.

Re: wastegate question...

so 44mm is ok then huh...

Re: wastegate question...

Make sure the spring inside of it is the right one for the amount of boost you want to run.
