High pitch humming sound

When I am driving my car I can hear a somewhat high pitch sound that seems to be coming from the passanger side of the car. I can't hear it when I get out of the car because its too loud haha. But when I blinker the pitch goes up and down with the light flashing. I think it has to do with the battery or the alternator, but those are both brand new. Any ideas?

My car does this too, but the noise comes from the rear, so that leads me to believe it's the fuel pump. I just got the car, and the guy I bought it from didn't know what kind of pump was in it, but it was overrunning the stock FPR, so I'm guessing it's a Walbro 255.

Yea I've got a walbro 255 as well. I could possibly be that, but why? I didn't hear anything from the engin bay but when I stuck my head inside the passanger window i heard it again.

It could be your fuel pump, it is getting warmer out so they will make more noise now.

But why would my blinker cause the pitch to go slightly up and down.

It draws power from the electrical system causing a different pitch from the fuel pump.

Ya know I'm starting to remember reading something like this before. Glad to hear it's not something with the battery or alternator like I originally thought.

It's still ghey, I always wondered what that sound was because it only comes in warmer temps... now I know.

But you don't have an upgraded fuel pump, do you?

no, .. well not that I know of, but I get a buzzing/whine from the passenger side/kinda rear that lasts for a few secs when it's warm out.

There is a reason it is called a Whinebro!

Yea you can get a hardwire kit and the humming will go away. But to me its not worth it. I can work on my perfect pitch lol

No, the hardwire kit won't make it quiet. The pump itself is noisy. Mine is hardwired.
