2.4 lower block question

I have a 2.4 lower block from 93 eagle summit. Could this be used with the 1g head? Any advice will help.

Yup, that's a 4GCS, there's several members that are using them here with turbo applications. You'll want to put in aftermarket rods and pistons and get the block cleaned up, but yea, it'll work! :D

I think that is was just a 4g64, i thought the G4CS was out of old 2.4L na galants with DOHC.

The G4CS was found in the early 90s Sonatas.
The 4g64s were in galants/expos/summits and the 96 Eclipas Spyder non-Turbo.

In 92.5 mitsubishi switched designes from the 6 bolt to the 7 bolt, 4g63 and 4g64

Your 93 mitsu 2.4l may be a 7 bolt, this is easy to find out, sans tranny

I have heard mixed results from the 2.4 7-bolt, I personally would not build up any 7-bolt motor, although I have heard that if you know what you are doing, any 7-bolt can be as strong as a 6-bolt if you build it right.

Aren't these sentences contradictory?
