axle seal
When you put in the new axle seal, if you push it in just a hair past flush, instead of leaving 1/8" sticking out, will that cause a problem?

Re: axle seal
As long as it's properly seated, it shouldn't be an issue. Watch for leakage after you get everything back together and your tranny fluid topped up.

Re: axle seal
reason I ask....I just put one in and didn't let it stick out at all. I got it back together and it still leaks. I have heard that people have lots of probs with this. Any tips?

Re: axle seal
Not sure, yank it out and re-install, or get another new one and re-install. Don't jam it in, it should just simply snap into place once you get it lined up properly.

Re: axle seal
Make sure you didn't ruin the seal when you put the axles in. becareful not to cut or pop out the ring.
