Vibration from Front End

so I have gigantic boostin plans for this next month including an scm61 and fmic, 669's etc, but have noticed a vibration/rattle comming from front of car(91 tsi) occurs from 2400-2900 and is stronger on down shifts. Has not effected any performance, could it be my motor mount that is cracked, or could my driver side cr joint which is loose casue this, if so why only at those rpm's?
Thanks!

Re: grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It could be a million things. How bad is vibration? Does it happen in every gear?

Also, please use decent thread titles, especially for tech treads!

Yea it could be a ton of things. I'd start by getting those few things fixed, esp that cracked motor mount.

hrm, I misread that. I'd start with the cracked motor mount for sure!

Scheides, you were pretty much right with your first post.... More info is needed. There isn't going to be anyone that will be able to diagnose your problem over the intraweb, only give you some ideas of where to start looking. Your going to have to get in there, and inspect possible problem areas, and if you don't know what to look for, you'll probably end up having to bring it to a shop

What do you mean by loose CV joint?
