EVO 9 exhaust manifold bolt up to 1G Head?
 

I scored a FREE EVO 9 twin sroll turbo from a friend with 38K miles on it.

I am wondering if anybody knows if the stock Twin Scroll Evo manifold will bolt up to a 1G 4G63 head?

The turbo would be pointed the "wrong way", the middle studs on the DSM head (normaly 8mm) are the same but the bottom outside bolt holes (normal 10mm on 93+ heads) are not symmetrical.

I will trade you a 16g or a 20g with a broken turbine blade on it, they will then bolt straight up! :D

If I remember correctly, a straight up Evo IV-->1G installation results in the turbo hitting the block. Leon Reitman posted up a bunch of pictures of it somewhere on the internet.

Looks to me like you should sell it and use the money for a bolt-on turbo.
