What are some of the links you guys wanted me to look at?

I am not paying $400+ for a hd from Dell. But since I can't sell the computer I need to get it running again. So I am trying to find a 40gb or more hd for a decent price.

I have no idea.

Neither of those have anything for mine. Thanks though.

Huh? Pricewatch has drives for Dell listed under "Notebook Drives" on the opening page. :slap:

AJ 02-01-2004 11:22 PM

Not for my notebook. They have some for the new ones, but not mine.

Tell me exactly what you have and what part/model # you need, I'm pretty sure I can find it for you.

Part number/specs from the hard drive?

1ViciousGSX 02-02-2004 12:06 AM

This is a good place to start since I don't know the exact specs of your hard drive. I assume it's a 9.5mm drive.

Notebookparts.com
Then click on "Dell" under the Brands tab
Then click "Hard Drives" in the Select a Parts Category (optional): tab
Then click "Inspiron 2650" in the Select/Enter your Model (optional):
Then click Show the Items

Then pick the one you want. ;)

Here's a new one listed on EBAY. Your Dell Inspiron 2650 is on the list of laptops it will work in.

40gig for $139.95 + shipping

AJ 02-02-2004 12:38 AM

Yeah, I though there was one's out there for under $100.

There are, but I doubt you get 40gigs for that amount.
