Do as I say, not as I do

This happened a couple months ago, but I have to tell the story, its pretty funny(I think).

Cj and I were driving around in his 1990 F150 getting things done, using a pickup as it should be used: to carry crap around.

On top of the pile is my moms wheel barrel, we are leaving his parents house over by the MG high school, we come to an intersection right in front of the school, we need to go right.

We could not take a right because there was a continuous line of cars coming from the high school (must have been some huge game/play/concert).

In the 3 minutes we were waiting for a spot to open up, the driver, CJ, must have forgotten that we were indeed a pickup full of crap because when he saw a small opening he punched it.

>>The Ford 300 CID straight six is a fantastic engine, and the early 90s F150s are fantastic, we bought this truck for $74 (towing bill) and it has cost nothing to maintain, and it gets around 20MPG, pretty cool. This truck is a short box/short cab 2wd automatic, its pretty quick.

So my buddy lit up the tires, gripped, and we shot out into the traffic sideways as we take a right turn/drift.

Here is where the pictures come in: I look out back and see the bright yellow wheel barrel slide sideways, then back, it tilts up, and catches the wind.

Less then 3 seconds into the turn I manage to bark out "dude, slow down" but this is too late, the 20+mph wind catches the barrel and pushes it over its wheel and off the back of the truck.

I watched in slow motion as the barrel apexed and then fell down behind the tailgate, simultaneously revealing more and more the silver, dealer plated, 2007 BMW 7 Series only feet behind us, we are going 30+, maybe 40, we are screwed.

I close my eyes in horror, I don't care that the rich S.O.B is gonna be late to his cricket match, I do care about paying for this sh*t.

I hear honking, lots of honking, frantic honking, pulsing over and over again, did he swerve and avoid the falling object?

I open my eyes, the P.O.S. is still, somehow, hanging on the back of the truck!

At this point I tell CJ to "pull the Fu*k over, NOW!" (voice volume : 11)

Confused, and perplexed why I was yelling at him, CJ pulled off to the side.

He was probably expecting the driver behind us to honk, because he knew he was being an R-Tard by pulling out into fast moving traffic. So he didn't think anything of it, he probably thought I was going to puke, whatever.

That could have been bad! Tire your shit down next time... I cant stand it when people just throw stuff in the bed of their trunk and expect it to stay there.

Let me say that we only had a short distance to go, all of the items in the back were HEAVY enough to not fly out if we drove slowly, sub 30MPH, me and my buddy agreed to travel slowly, but he must have had a brain-fart.

Without massive acceleration this would not have happened. We laughed and laughed when we saw it, I was releaved that nobody got hurt, and I try not do put myself/others lives at risk, as the title suggests: let this serve as a warning to others not to act stupid as I clearly was.

Wow, way to have respect for someone else's property. Way to sterotype too BTW.

Chris I play cricket all the time? Come on, all BMW owners sign a contract when they buy one. Must play cricket..

If you knew you should be driving slow then why did he pull out so fast? Brain fart is not really the right term.

Too bad cricket is from England and BMW's are from Germany ;) Jaguar owners maybe, but not BMW.

Lol. Way to tire that shit down. Congradulations, you're two miracles short from becoming a saint.

Yeah, nice stereotype. Dealer plate means it isn't a rich cricket-playing SOB, I drive cars like that all the time.

You don't want to know what it would cost your insurance company to fix the front end of a new Bimmer.

Jebers Peter, calm the fuck down. He never called anyone a motherfucker and he even said let it be a lesson to others to not be as stupid as he was during that and tie your shit down. The post was funny and the comment was so general. Relax guys, spring will be here soon.

I'm locking this down before it turns into this : http://www.mnsportcompacts.net/forum...ad.php?t=45417
