1991 Dodge Stealth ES
What are the common issues and how long can I expect the engine to last under normal conditions?

Re: 1991 Dodge Stealth ES
:deadhorse: Sorry.. I had to.. but that's a very open ended question. There are a lot of variables, any motor can last a hella long time as long as the effort was made to properly maintain it... well unless it's a 2g and it decides to walk.

Issue with it is that they are very slow.

Re: 1991 Dodge Stealth ES
C'mon, this is an honest question...does anyone know of any uber-high mileage non-turbo stealth/3000gt's?
I'd think 150k miles would be no problem with the proper maintenance. |
Re: 1991 Dodge Stealth ES
I gave an honest answer. In my experience with all of the people that those kinds, they were slow. Motor-wise I haven't heard too much besides the fact they are a PITA to work on. You have to remove the intake manifold just to replace spark plugs.
On the plus, they are pretty cool looking and I like the interior setup. If I were to get a Stealth or 3000GT though, I would opt for the VR4 or similar TT AWD on the Stealth. |
Re: 1991 Dodge Stealth ES
My roommate has a '91 3000GT SL (same car) with about 65,000 miles on it. It's pretty low mileage, but he hasn't had many problems with it. He had to replace the clutch, but that's because he always started out in 2nd gear rather than 1st. Why, I don't know, but that's why it went out.
Also, the corner lights tend to break and fall out when you hit parked vans. Other than that I think it's been a pretty good car for him. |
