Question about title transfer.
 

Hey guys. I have a quick question regarding selling my winter beater. I am ready to sell it, but I have not got the title back from the DMV. Is there a way I can get them to speed the process up, or get them to make me one? The reason for such a rush is I am leaving the country for school and won't be back till summer. Thanks for the help.

I had to deal with this whe I sold my last DSM. I just had to wait.

We'll I called the DMV and they said that "I'd just have to wait." So if I sell the car to some stranger I guess I'm liable for anything the other person does.

Hey man I'll always hold on to the car for a while and do the deal when the title gets here!

Titles are coming way quicker than they did even a year ago. About two months is what I'm seeing now.

If it comes down to it I have no problem lending it to someone. There are a few friends that are offering to hold it. My coworker suggested going to the DMV with the temp title that they give you when you start the transfer. I'll let you guys know if that works.
