was wondering if anyone has a good idea or a hint of advice what I could use for vacuum hose, I am a bit short with a boost and air/fuel gauge, so all it does is light up:) ...thanks

You can get pretty colored tubing at roadraceengineering.com They have nice kits on their site.

Do you need the really thin nylon tube type or tubing the size of regular vacuum line? The hardware store probably won't carry the nylon tube type that is really thin.

talking about the white nylon shit that bends and brakes to easy? That same tubing that comes with the boost gauge. Go get some Vac lines from the auto parts store. Take in a sample of the size you want. And they will hook you up. You be alot happyer with the vac line over the nylon crap.

my apolgies for the late response, yes I will try auto parts store it's just that I need to add one to what I have for my boost gauge, still getting used to my car, but thank you very much for the advice, ill get back to you when I check around

So you need to extend your vacuum tubing? I had to do something similar to reduce the size on one end, they sell little plastic things to connect tubes if you absolutely have to go that route. But I'd just buy a new one to cover the entire length if I were you.

Hardware stores do sell couplers that work pretty well, but I agree with slowboy. Just replace the whole length.

Hmm, with this being said and all, how do most of you guys hook up your boost gauges? I run the white/clear nylon tubing all the way into the engine bay. And the I T it off the FPR vacuum line. But I have to use rubber vacuum hose on that T. So I've always just cut a small length of rubber hose, then just put some hairspray, or some sort of sticky adhesive on the outside of the clear tube, slid it into the rubber hose, and use a couple zipties on it. That's my ghetto coupler! I've used that method on all my cars because I guess I don't know a better way. What does everyone else do?

Plastic hose from gauge to engine bay. Slide very tight rubber tubing over plastic hose and then just plug it into the intake manifold port. I didnt use any zip ties, just found small enough rubber tubing to fit snugly onto the plastic hose. I used plastic tees if I needed to branch off to the wastegate or whatnot.

Yeah I have always done it just like Brandon as well. I just use the nylon tubing totally. Thats the best way to go in my opinion. The intake manifold is probably the most accurate.
