What size fuel line?
What size fuel line should I go with? From tank to fuel rail and return.
This is what I was thinking. -8 from tank to rail, -6 from rail to FPR and -4 from FPR to tank. This is pretty much copying what I got off when I just looked at 1viciousgsx's cardomain site. Anybody have any other ideas or think I should do something else? Mods: 2.4l(built) 650cc injectors(possibly upgrading to 1000cc) 20G turbo(going to be running about 18psi) some kind of fuel rail Aeromotive Fuel pressure regulator 255 Fuel pump I think thats all that you would need to know |
Re: What size fuel line?
How much power do you plan on making?
The stock fuel line will support a 20g at 18psi. |
Re: What size fuel line?
If you are running a line back to the tank make it a -6.

Re: What size fuel line?
Right now thats my set up. I plaining on going bigger with more boost. Also I may want to go E85, im not sure yet.

Re: What size fuel line?
I'd wait until it's a restriction. People are making over 600whp with stock lines on a 1G.

Re: What size fuel line?
I agree, I am just now changing my lines. E85 and high HP can't be good for the stock 3/16" lines. I am going with -6AN all the way around, except to the prefilter & pump. -6AN will flow over 3 times as much as the stock lines, so that will be fine.

Re: What size fuel line?
Also Im real stupid and like pretty things. So I guess this is one of the things for looks and function. So now im thinking about -6 all around...

Re: What size fuel line?
anyone know how the much fuel a line on a 98 spyder 4g64 is capable of passsing? I am just adding a turbo and whatnot just wondering if this is going to be an issue

Re: What size fuel line?
On a turbo DSM the stock fuel lines will be ok up to 500 whp or so. Then it starts to be a restriction.
