Service Providers for Your home.

I am currently in the process of setting up utility companies for the new place, and i was wondering who do you all use and how much is it usually (if you think this info is too personal and don't want to answer, thats cool, i am just looking for some advice/info).

I have to set up the following:
-Waste management
-TV/Cable (comcast)
-Water
-Electric (Connexus)
-Natural Gas (Center Point/Minnegasco) <--These are the companies on the list that the builders recommended

You usually have to go with whats in your area for most providers. The only option you might have is cable v. satellite.

I can give you what we use, but considering you don't have the option to go with them, I'm not sure if it will help. Or what are you looking to get out of this?

Yeah, you'll be limited in the companies you can use so when it comes right down to it the best price usually wins.

I thought you bought a townhouse? Usually with a townhouse your Trash/Recycling and your water is included with your assosiation. With my house, I had no choice with electricity and gas, it was just one provider and all I did was call up and start up my service. And in Blaine, it is Connexus and Centerpoint (that's what mine are). As far as cable tv/internet, I use Comcast because again, it is my only option. It's a rip off and I hate it, and will switch to Qwest once they are available. But as of now Qwest doesn't serve my neighborhood. I'm not sure if it's just my neighborhood, or all of Blaine. Comcast has decent prices for your introductory service, but after that, the price just about doubled.
