The reality of track racing
Just a video for anyone who thinks of taking their car to a road course for a high speed lapping session. It's a sobering reminder what the proper safety equipment really does for you in a severe accident. It's this reason alone that I will never take my daily driver to a road course.

Re: The reality of track racing
Ouch, hence the reason I got my cage years ago.

Re: The reality of track racing
fawk me, i'm puting in a 22 point cage..
and then another cage inside that cage! |
Re: The reality of track racing
Did you notice the welds on the cage? The part right behind the driver's seat wasn't even welded all the way around! Pretty nutty crash though!
|
Re: The reality of track racing
I cant believe the "half ass welded" cage held! He got damn lucky! Poor Evo!

Re: The reality of track racing
I really didnt expect him to lose it on that corner, wierd.

Re: The reality of track racing
Wow, I can't believe he put his hands up.
That really shows the point of having proper safety equipment in a RACING vehicle, good post Matt. |
Re: The reality of track racing
Wow that was nuts. And I want to road race the Talon. Then again if I do that I think about a cage for it. But eh...lucky he is alive.
