Buschur Borg-Warner Turbo kit

Looks like buschur is building a turbo kit out of the Schweitzer/Borg-Werner S200 turbo. Looks intriging, and the thing is supposed to flow around 57lbs/min!

Borg Warner/Schwitzer ftw, I've got an ancient semi-truck or earth mover turbo by schwitzer, I should toss it on a car sometime; I bet it would make some buku hp.

Our friend Bill, 4las90, has an S200 on his talon... Made 380ish or so with minimal mods... We're building a motor right now, then we'll see what it can really do!

Looks like the S200 was a bust

360whp and 302 lb-ft @ 27psi ...lame!

Looks like he's gonna test a S300 though...65lbs/min I think.... :D

Re: Buschur Borg-Warner Turbo kit

The S200 is only a 56mm compressor wheel. It's close in size to a Garrett 57-trim comp wheel, which is rated at about 49 lb/min. Those numbers are still a bit dissappointing for boost level and motor in that car. An S300 is very close in size to a 61mm Garrett turbo like the GT35R and PTE SC61

Re: Buschur Borg-Warner Turbo kit

Shane do you have any experience with these extended tip turbos?

Re: Buschur Borg-Warner Turbo kit

I don't have any experience with those turbos. Nick from SLS has been running them for years though. In general, when you increase the size of the exducer side of a compressor wheel, it makes it more efficient at higher boost levels, but doesn't increase the overall flow capabilites a lot.

Who is Buschur working with on those kits, Bullseye?
