It's cheaper to use a plyers and crimp the top just a bit.

I have never had that pop up before. Why does it do that in the first place?

I actually have a metal bracket I made for mine. It's a thin bendable piece of sheet metal, that has a groove cut into the top of it, that slides over the handle of the dipstick. Then, it's held to the tube by a small hoseclamp.

Isnt Blow by a REALLY bad thing. My buddy with a turbo integra got that and he ended up having to get the block rebuilt.

That's why your supposed to put boost pressure to the crank case, to help reduce blowby. :D

Weird....i just posted in the Internals section about replacing the rings because of blow by. I'm sick of the dip stick popping out and blowing oil everywhere. I clamped my dipstick in temporarily but i hate the idea period. If you have to clamp, crimp or whatever, then you're not getting to the real source of the problem. I think of the dipstick as a pressure release valve. If it's clamped in there, then your sealing up the motor tight. That can't be good. I sure don't want the side of my block to open up and become the new pressure release valve.

I have heard from someone on here, that blow by is a thing that all dsms have and is ok to have because that is what the pcv valve is for. or something like that.
I suppose being that ive Never had the problem of my dipstick popping out its likely a good thing. (or means i need to add more boost so that it does happen hehehe)

Bah, it can happen to any engine, it may not be caused by blowby, it could be a random surge through a messed up PCV with high boost.

get a crankvent setup. some checkvalves - one for vac. only from the valve cover, then one for pressure from the crankcase -> to a nipple on the exhaust, and when there are vacuum pulses in the your exhaust, it'll suck out and burn any positive pressure. easy.
