Speed Sensitive Wipers!

Ok, maybe I'm just a geek and everyone else knows this, but I discovered this morning why I've been so frustrated with the delay setting on my wipers in the Evo. On the highest setting, sometimes it would wipe consistently, and sometimes it would pause for a moment between wipes. Today I discovered that if I left it on this setting, it would change delay times as my speed went up or down. Very nice!!!

By highest setting do you mean longest or shortest delay? I was wondering about this as well this morning because it seemed that the delay was not always the same.

On the shortest setting.

Can't say that I would be able to notice it on my quest. :D

Like a fine lady, it doesn't have wipers!

Lol, Yeah, when you don't have the tools, you don't notice the job getting done. That's a bad analogy, but does your Evo have an "Intermittant wiper cancel" button? If not, then we've taken a step backward, my friends.

A lot of older cars had throttle sensitive wipers.;) They were controlled by a vacuum motor and when you got on it they would obviously slow down because of the lack of manifold vac.

Well then, reid has proven to me that quests have drift sensitive wipers. I can't explain it but drifting makes the wipers go on.

Geez, manufacturers spend millions of dollars on OWNER'S MANUALS. You should read it. :D

I am sad to have missed that. Perhaps someday, I too will experience drift sensative wipers. :)

Well, you have railroad track sensitive wipers, remember those tracks over by my house, they have set them off at least once.

My LS has rain sensitive wipers. Every once in a while when it sprinkles and they come on it will scare the hell out of you!

My Talon also has the Launch sensitive wipers too. Right after shifting to second gear my hand flys up to shut the damn things off on a sunny day.
