Intake for 1g w 2gMAF?
Wondering if there was any hard Intake pipes out there that would fit the 14b and the 16G?
I bought a 2G MAF and plan on gettin the Evo3 Big one later on but was wondering if there was a hard intake pipe that would allow me to use the 2g maf on my stocker 14b and later on switch it over to the 16g. If so, cool. If not, no suprise, just wondering. Also, what brand do most people have good results from? Dejon? FP? TrueValue Hard-ware-store! ? |

Dejon; I've owned a few of their intakes with no complaints.

The tiny type at FP.
This pipe can also be used for 1G applications where no MAF or MAS is used, instead simply fit the 4" diameter air filter directly to the air tube inlet. Unfortunately there is not enough room between the turbo and the fenderwell in the 1G to fit a MAS and a filter, so no soup for guys without VPC or stand alone. We now have a coupler to allow installation of |

Homemade! Nothing a little 3" tubing and a home depot coupler can't handle! Well, that's how I roll at least!

K. So I want the Dejon, been lookin' at it for a while. Wondering if some how or some way it will fit on the Evo 3 16G as well as the 14b? Yeah, I know stupid question but I have no one else to ask and I want to throw it on my 14b but if it dont work ill wait til spring and the 16G.

Re: Intake for 1g w 2gMAF?
I had the same problem. But I found something that works great.
Buy a 180 degree intercooler pipe fomr jcwhitney and cut that in half, twist it 180 degrees, and weld it. For the Maf to intercooler coupler use 4.5-2.5 reducer from home depot, and then use a 2.5 coupler for the turbo to intake. Drill a hole in the pipe and weld on a 1.5 pipe to it for the BOV. And do some smaller ones for the other little hoses that goes into there. |
