Loosen the adjustment and put the belt back on. Tighten it back up and you are good to go.

If you havent already, buy at a minimum a Chiltons manual for your car. It will really help you with any repairs you need to do now or in the future. The factory service manual is the best option but it costs more.

Just take it all out. In a day or two you will be glad you did!

i dunno how true that is.. in a daily driver i would almost think p/s is a must, the adjustment on those are easy anyways. GL

Do as was already mentioned. It's not hard to figure out and you just need simple tools.

Are you being serious? I surely don't ever expect to have a daily driven car without power steering.

My DD talon had no PS and since then I cant STAND having it. Maybe thats just because all my cars are race cars...

I've daily drove my Gvr4 for years w/o power steering. It makes working on shit soooo much easier!

The only time it sucks is when i have to parallel park, but thats like once a week.

I like to think of myself as getting a workout everytime i drive!

im sorry but that is rediculous...probably the only time i would take out power steering would be to put a quick steer rack in... but not just to take the power steering out, not worth it.

It handled soo much better in my opinion. I've driven 1g's with it and without it and I like the way it felt without it better. It just seemed to cooperate better.

it's not going to make it handle any better or worse, its all in the feeling of the wheel since its going to be alot harder to turn.

Re: HELP no power stering?

Not really. It took me like... half a day to get used to it. Anyways, to ME, I personally felt like I had more control over it BECAUSE it didn't turn so easy. For example, I could bump it on accident and KNOW I wasn't going to go flying into the other side of traffic.

Re: HELP no power stering?

but do you really think that your going to "bump" yourself into on coming traffic? and at any rate it isn't related to the topic at hand. p/s or no p/s personal opinion.

It depends on how you look at it and how technical you want to get. If you have the amplification of steering wheel torque provided by your manual rack and pinion equal to the theoretical amplification provided by your power steering system, your manual system will be more responsive because of the energy loses in the power system due to the use of fluid power.

I've driven both very aggresively in the twisties and I'd never even considering going w/o the power steering. Manual steering made transitioning from one direction to the other MUCH more difficult.

Re: HELP no power stering?

all fixed! it went out at night so i really didt get a good look at it, i just zip tied it to a hose so i wouldent lose it on the way home! but i do have to say that it was not to bad driving with out it i accually considerd leaving it off! but i personaly think that it would be crazy to drive with out it.

when i do the rebuild on my car it is for-sure going along with the A/C! but i will have another daily driver by then!
