Snow down south of Twin Cities?

1 Attachment(s)
My buddy Cory (cranch on here) calls me this morning. He ended up spending the night in Mankato at a...friend's house last night, and he was standing in 12" of snow in flip-flops, as that is all he had worn down there last night. His car was covered in snow. I look out my window in Minneapolis, and there is no snow outside. I call BS, but he insists it happened. So I get to work this morning and see his car. Keep in mind this is after driving from Mankato to Eden Prairie. Crazy!

Sorry for the huge size, but check out all the ice all over his car, and how everything else around his car is totally clean...crazy.

Wow, that's crazy. We had a little dusting of snow in Bloomington, but that's about it. I'm going to have to get my snowboard down from the attic pretty soon. :D

Its kind of hard to tell but there is snow on the roof tops and all over my deck and on the cars.

That's awesome. This is gonna suck if we get anything here. The 6 needs snow shoes bad, but we are at least stuck waiting till after thanksgiving to get them at the soonest. I have no traction on cold pavment.

Umm, doesn't that thing have AWD? You might consider going a little lighter on the right foot ;) Or did Ford just install an on/off switch instead of a gas pedal? :D

The MS6 comes with Potenza 050's (same as the '04+ S2k's) and the tires are worthless at temps belows 40's, but amazing in the warm.

The Laser anticipates snowfall.

The laser is getting it's snow tires tomorrow so the 3kGT can go up for the winter... was scared when I saw snow in the forecast for today.

Yeah, as soo as the ground stays cold or snow is forcasted up here we will have to change over to the prisim till we can get some good shoes for the 6. The sad thing is, all the 18" tires for the 6 are all "performance snow tires" and I just don't want to spend $170 a tire for a wide snow tire. And it will be about a grand+ for a set of 17s (wheels and tires) all said and done.

Re: Snow down south of Twin Cities?

Get the 17" wheel/tire package, mounting/remounting tires every season will make your wheels look bad plus its really hard on your sidewalls and will damage the tires.

I know, I'm just not interested in spending 1000 bucks on rims and tires right now. Discount Tire quoted me $1200 out the door on their cheapest 17" combo and Tire Racks is $980 for their cheapest right now.
