Car wont start need help asap...

Hey guys, i finished the head gasket and everything is on and tight. I zip tied the Cam gears and marked them so it wouldnt lose timing. everything should be good, the only thing that i am questioning is the EVAP and Emmisions vacuum lines because i was stupid and didnt mark them.
The car wont start. it just keeps turning and turning and occasionally backfires but never fires.
I have made sure i have fuel pressure, Made sure i have spark at the wires, i replaced the spark plugs. Made sure that the lines to the fuel pressure silinoid is correct. I have made sure the dsmlink settings are correct. I have tried inverting the CAS and put it back to regular. but still nothing.
Also, My buddy heard this but not sure if its true, but i have a 2g head with a 6bolt block, he said that the firing order may be different on the 6bolt crank. Can anyone find if this is true or not. He is saying that the pistons the cylinders should be (from trans to timing belt) 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 instead of the normal 4 - 3 - 2 - 1
Im so confused.
Please someone let me know soon, im not going to bed until this is done. so either hit me up on AIM or post on here.
Thank you,
Tom

I would recheck your timing. I have did the same thing as you did in regards to zip tieing the cam gears but for some reason they have always slipped and its been a tooth or two off. So now I just put in the tensioner tool and take the belt all the way off and just do it from scratch. It really doesn't take that much longer if you know what you are doing.

If it spitting and sputtering when you are turning it over I would guess its timing because my Laser did the exact same thing when it was off.

Oh yeah I seen you called too, but I was sleeping and didn't get up until 1130pm.

Your friend is a moron and your firing order is correct. I am with Craig, I think your timing belt slipped, probably on the crank. Line up the ignition timing mark and see if the cams are lined up. That is the quickest way to tell if you are off.

Told ya Tom ;)

I am with these other guys though, it definitely sounds like your timing isn't set right.

Actually.. Check out the top of page 5. http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/1gina2g.pdf

But anyways i did this and it still didnt fire. I took out the plugs and they were soaked in gas. so last night i left them out so the cylinders and plugs could dry out. then ill try and fire it up and if it doesnt fire, i would think you are correct about the timing. I think im just gonna send it to Dynamic and get the timing belt realigned. It looks like too much work to take off the pulleys and the timing cover. :(

that just says switch the plugs. not the firing order
