head gasket job
I checked compression and the car had 150+ in all 4 when I bought it and now it has about 100 in 3 and 135 in 1. It over heats and loses coolant. I'm going with a bad head gasket... That's my best guess.
I saw it's 750$ for this job. That's all parts included correct? Including all timing belt parts ( all pullies and tensioners etc). I think it has ARPS but if it doesn't will it be the same price to install some used ones ( i don't have any moly lube but I have all the bolts). last questions - wait time before you could get it done and how long aprox. would it take? 1g 91 talon TSI awd. |
Re: head gasket job
Service no longer needed. I had to deal with it ASAP.

Re: head gasket job
Wow I never saw this one, sorry Josh.
Stupid "view new posts" oh well, thats what happens when people log into my computer and throw off my "dsmstyle clock". For the record the price includes parts and a head bolt/stud solution. ARP head studs are an additional $95, (1g 6 bolt) or we can put in yours. We were/are pretty swamped this week, wouldn't beable to get the car in until the 16th. Turn around time is usually 1-2 business days, pending issues. |
Re: head gasket job
It's cool. I'll remember to PM / post next time I'm looking for something done ;p
