1G aftermarket stereo dash installation kit

I am just wondering what brand of installation kits people have experience with for aftermarket decks in 1G's. I already have the wiring harness, just need the dash mounting kit. Crutchfield wants $40 for theirs which seems way over priced; I've used theirs before, but for $40 its awfully flimsy. I did some searching and Scosche (spelling?) sells a universal Mitsu kit for $15-20 that is supposed to work; anyone use this one?

Links to online retailers would be appreciated too :)

I could probably get you a Metra 99-7000 for $15, but I don't know if they are any good.

Let me search around and find some info on them, I'll get back to you. Thanks Shane.

Some 1g's came with a smaller stereo. So instead of just having that plastic trim piece that just goes all the way around the big stereo, it has a little cubby hole in the bottom. I think it is the cleanest way to do it. It's how I did it in my old laser. I just got lucky and found one at John's Auto Parts one day. I looked forever to find one for my talon, but they are freaking impossible to find.

I *think* I have 2 or 3 of these laying around somewhere if you're interested, Chris.

You can buy them new from the dealer also. I got mine from Chris when he was still around. Don't remember how much it was though... I'd guess less than 30 bucks.
