Back On the Road Finally...

I finally completed my long project since June. I have a 95 Talon TSI FWD. Here is a list of things that I now have done.

-6 Bolt Swap
-TRE 2nd stage tranny with LSD, Taller 5th gear, steel Shift Rails, Etc.
-1g head, dual supertech valves and titanium retainers, SS valves, 64114 Crower cams
-1g intake
-1g throttle body
-New 20g TD06H
-Tial external wastegate in tubular 02 housing pipe
-Eagle Rods
-Wiseco Pistons
-BS Eliminate
-ARP's rod and head
-DSMLink
-880 injectors
-Huge FMIC
-Direct route intercooler piping
-3" intake
-1g BOV Modified
-EGR block off
-Tubular manifold
-3" enging back exhaust
-AEM Wideband
-255 pump
-AFPR

That is all I can come up with right now but I know I forgot some things. Let me know what you think and what I should possibly do next. Also what do you think I should be able to make for power on this setup and if I were to upgrade a few little things. I am just glad to be back on the road and no more working on the car all the time for now.

Sounds like you have a good base for quite a while now. Keep everyone posted with results.

BTW, did you do everything yourself or was it mostly shop done?

Looks like a nice setup! I would look into cams next.

I'm not familiar with Deltagate products, do you have an internet link?

For reference, your exhaust gas temperature gauge uses a pyrometer (thermocouple) for temperature measurement.

Cams and some 650cc injectors, other than that its sounding good.

Time for some suspension work?

Suspension stuff is worthless. Hey Carey looking good. I guess that means everything is working?

Yeah no kidding. A decent suspension setup can actually make a DSM feel like a sports car. Even if you don't like corners, shocks/springs can lower 1/4 mile ET's since the car will become more planted and won't wobble to and fro (plus be a lot safer/more controlable under acceleration, braking, and high-speeds).

Re: Back On the Road Finally...

I did all of the work myself. I really need to tune it though because it runs great but rough.

Anyone have a base tune for me to go off of to tune from. My mods are listed above.

Any tuning basics here?

Well after another issue of a single stock valve spring breaking in half on me, I have updated my list in the 1st post and i am now back on the road again but alot more empty in the wallet after this upgrade. Let me know how the new mods list sounds.

Sounds sweet! Definitly get it to a local tuner/dyno shop so you get a nice, safe, powerful tune on it!

Looks like a nice list. Definately go get it tuned, especially with so many dynos available locally now.

Re: Back On the Road Finally...

Yeah a professional tune is probably the most important piece to any upgrade path.
