Knock sensor 1g or 2g ???

I did a 6 bolt sawp in a 95 talon and was wondering if I use the 1g or 2g knock sensor on my 95 talon? Thanks for the help in advance. Also any way to log knock or will tuning off of Air Fuel Wideband be fine?

2G knock sensor and you can not detect knock on a 2G. Widebands the best for tuning

Re: Knock sensor 1g or 2g ???

So I will not know if i am knocking. I got a 20g and want to run higher boost on pump now. I read that I should tune to a flat 11 for AF. Dont worry about knock? What boost should I run on pump with a 20g td06h, 550's and a pump with the safc? Thanks.

About 1/2 way down there is a chart and tells you the injector octane and turbo and PSI you can run.

What does anyone think ill get for power if tuned right with the following mods. 255, 550's, 20g td06h, afpr, safc, forged 6 bolt swap, 2600 clutch, light weight fly wheel, BS eliminate, fmic, 1g throttle body and intake, 3 inch full exhaust, etc.??

You would use the 2G knock sensor with the 2G ECU. The ECU will be able to detect knock and hopefully do something about it. With DSMLink, you can see knock. You can also datalog ignition advance and use your best judgement to find knock, but how the SAFC is tuned and injector size can play a big role in how easy it is to find knock.

So what should I run for boost on the new 20g for boost? on pump gas, 650's, afpr, safc, 255 pump and all other mods?

Re: Knock sensor 1g or 2g ???

It all depends on your specific setup and comfort level. You can have almost the same setup on 2 different cars and one might be able to run 22psi on pump gas with resonable timing advance, while another knocks like crazy at 18psi with no timing in it.
