Heater Core took a shit

My heater core went out and my car keeps running hot.. Since heat is not something that I need b/c I drive the car only in the summer could I bypass my heater core and will my car still run cool???

Your heater core will not affect the rest of the cooling system, it will only lower the amount of coolant needed to fill the system.
