So I'm droppin a deuce, and this is what I read...
MOTOR TREND FEB 2004 "Missing a Year" "Ford's SVT Mustang Cobra is scheduled to appear a year after the new-generation Mustang's debut. And the SVT Lightning comes a full two years after the just-introduced F-150, so the truck and car will arrive afor the 2006 model year. Now SVT says, it's dropping the slow-selling, low-margin SVT Focus from the lineup for 2005, so there wil be no SVT cars or trucks offered next year...." BLAH so on and so forth.. (something about the Mustang... whatever, who cares) "If the SVT focus does re-appear in the future, it'll be a turbocharged car with power competitive with the Subaru WRX STi and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, an insider says." Let the Shit-talking begin. have at it boys and girls... |
What is the last car that Ford has turbocharged, the 2.3 (I think) Mustangs?

RS baby....
if i could get my hands on that car it would be a beast... you might not be aware of it but ford RS is a kick ass car with engine to back it up.. there are only two fords i'd ever own... F350 diesel, and RS escot.... the gt40 as well tho... but hot damn... if the 2dr RS comes over that would be awesome... 4wd with a good engine.. -E |

Yeah, as far as I know, the only Turbo car Ford has produced is the Focus RS, as Enes pointed out. Too bad we'll never get that, it's a badass Focus.

Well yeah, if the Probe too. The old boxy ones. But Ford owns like Mazda, Aston Martin and Jaguar. So whatever came turbo from them, Ford had something to do with. I forgot about that.

Ford also built the Meurker XR4Ti. That had the 2.3 turbo. They have their own cult following in parts of the country. The Xratty also came as a rear in the states and all wheel in Europe.

Hmm, interesting.....almost not too bad...
