hail?

So did any one get pounded by the hail? Seamed to hit south and north metro hardest. Just curious.

My Dad's GTO got hammered for the 2nd time this summer up in Rogers, MN. Thankfully my S2k sits in a parking ramp all day down here in Eden Prairie.

Re: hail?

I was at home yesterday in Rogers, and we had like 30 minutes worth of hail. It was about an inch in diameter. My house didn't suffer any damage, and my cars were tucked in the garage.

I was getting worried when it was happening though. I just got done with all the hail damage stuff from last September. I don' want to go threw it again.

Looks like some places got it real bad.

later,
Curt

I wish I could have been in Rogers. My daily driver needs a good pounding so I can get cash for it and still drive it. My Gsx was in the garage.

I was watching the news and south of Minneapolis had hail the size of softballs. They were showing the snowballs :D and all sorts of cars with smashed windshields driving off to work.

Re: hail?

Uhm.. yea, we had like.. larger than golf ball size hail, just a tad smaller than a tennis ball. Brutal.. the cars outside are done and the vinyl siding on our house was cracked/broken to shit. Not to mention, there's a big hole in our patio table where hail broke clear through.. that's hardcore.

A friend called me yesterday, he had just bought a real nice A6 2.7 twin turbo from me a month ago. It got hit so hard in Anoka yester, it shattered almost all the glass and put holes in the windshield. The car will be totalled for sure. He also mentioned that every car at every dealership he passed had all the glass smashed out. I've never heard of hail that bad before. We didn't get a single pellet 10 miles away in Brooklyn Park.

Here are a couple of dark pics of Dokmo in Northfield. Almost every car has all the glass broken out and every body panel dented up. There was a lot of damage. I am pretty sure that from Northfield to Apple Valley got hit good.

I should have mentioned that too since you were the one I was quoting. They are pretty rough too, obviously around the above areas. I am sure I will here more about it over the next couple of weeks since we do a lot of work for the local farmers and their work trucks. They always seem to bitching about something;) Seriously though, I am sure they are hurting.

One of my fellow salesman called in today cause he was helping a friend round up a couple hundred head of livestock til about 2am this morning.

The weather stations are comparing these twisters to the bad ones that are usually found in Kansas and places like that. They were 100% unexpected. No warning.
